What's New: Toshiba Kills HD DVD Format
Today Toshiba ended the high-definition DVD format wars by surrendering to Sony's Blu-ray format. Toshiba plans to end its HD DVD business by the end of March. In January, Warner Brothers defected to the HD DVD camp, and earlier this month online rental service Netflix announced they would only support Blu-ray as well. Consumers can now feel free to purchase Blu-ray DVD devices without fear of being left behind.
