What's New: MacOS Update Corrupts Files, Say Adobe Users
Users on Apple discussion boards claim that after installing Apple's 10.5.3 update to OS X, their Adobe's Creative Suite 3 files saved to network drives are being corrupted. Reportedly, downgrading to 10.5.2, and using Save As instead of Save, to save a copy of a document, are workarounds.
For its part, Adobe's knowledge base says that "Adobe does not support opening from or saving a file to a server, because of potential file corruption." KB articles dating back to January 2007 refer to changes in Apple's networking in 10.4.6 that can cause file corruption.
