What's New: Critical Update to Flash Player
Adobe released Flash Player version 9.0.124.0 to fix seven vulnerabilities that can be exploited simply by visiting a web page containing a malicious banner ad. Adobe says all of the vulnerabilities could allow a hacker to execute code on a PC.
The problem is that today's ad networks are highly automated and sometimes contain malicious, often fake ads. Users might therefore have their PCs compromised even if they only visit legitimate sites.
Users can download the Flash update from Adobe's web site, but to be safe, should visit that link in all web browsers on their PC, such as Firefox and Internet Explorer.
