What's New: Big Brother Comes To Chicago
Chicago plans to use IBM surveillance software to monitor video from thousands of cameras. Chicago has rolled out thousands of cameras throughout the city. The Office of Emergency Management and Communications hopes to use the software to detect suspicious behavior automatically, for example, packages left in public places or cars parked illegally.
