What's New: APC Recalls Millions of Surge Protectors

Schneider Electric/APC has issued a safety recall for the APC Surge Arrest brand of surge protectors due to a fire hazard. The recalled units were manufactured from 1993 through 2003. To assist in determining whether a specific unit is affected, and to claim a replacement, go to recall.apc.com. That site has pictures of the affected products, as well as instructions on reading the serial number and submitting a claim.
