What's New: 32-Gigabit Flash Chip Unveiled
Intel and Micron today will show a jointly developed 32-gigabit NAND flash memory chip that promises high capacity, more affordable solid state hard drives. Smaller than a thumbnail, the firms expect to deliver samples in June, with mass production to begin in the second half of 2008. A single chip could store around 2,000 high-res photos or 1,000 MP3 songs.
