What's New: BMW Caught Cheating

Google has confirmed that the domain bmw.de has been removed from Google's search results for cheating. According to an employee's blog, BMW's German web site would show different content to Google's search engine spider (indexer) than to regular users, which violates Google's policies for inclusion. The blog also reported that Google will be getting more aggressive in 2006 on attempts to manipulate search results.
