What's New: Keystroke Logging On The Rise
Security firm iDefense expects a 65% increase in keystroke logging programs in 2005, with around 6,200 known programs by the end of the year. Keystroke loggers, or keyloggers, record users' keystrokes and report them back to the programmer, giving them easy access to passwords and account numbers.
ITS strongly recommends every computer run up-to-date anti-virus and anti-pest/anti-spyware software to counteract this threat.
