What's New: US Eases DSL Regs - Bad for Business?

Friday the FCC eased regulations on DSL broadband service offered by local telephone companies. Firms such as SBC and Verizon are happy because they are no longer forced to lease access to phone lines to other ISPs at regulated rates. However watchdog groups fear these companies may seek to dramatically raise rates charged to their competitors, which would be passed along to DSL subscribers.
