What's New: Internet Misuse Costs $5,000 Per Employee

Websense, Inc. released a report Tuesday stating that personal use of company Internet resources costs U.S. firms $178 billion annually, or approximately $5,000 per employee. Approximately 50% of surveyed workers admit to using the Internet recreationally at work. IT managers estimate this usage averages 5.9 hours per week for each employee.
