What's New: Hardware Prices Continue To Drop
The day after AMD announced price cuts of up to 30% on its processor line, reports indicate that memory pricing continues to drop, reportedly edging below the cost of production for some manufacturers. RAM prices had spiked around January 2007 in anticipation of holiday sales and the increased memory requirements for Windows Vista.
Accordingly, ITS expects PC prices to fall within the next two to four weeks as the lower priced components work their way into the marketplace.
