What's New: Vista, Office 2007 Launched

Microsoft released Windows Vista and Office 2007 through their volume licensing program today. Retail purchasers will have to wait until January 30, a deferential nod to Dell and other major manufacturers who claimed they would not have time to train support reps before the holiday shopping season. As we've written before, Vista and especially Office 2007 will be quite different than Windows XP and Office 2003.

The delay has interesting implications...for instance after waiting for a couple months, customers may decide to keep waiting to purchase Vista with a new PC later next year rather than upgrade right away.
