What's New: Microsoft Linux?
Microsoft will partner with Novell to make Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise their officially supported Linux solution. Microsoft and Novell will team on development and sales of several technologies including virtualization, interoperability, and web services. For example, users will be able to run Linux under Windows, or Windows under Linux.
Put together with Novell's announcement of an upcoming version of their Mono framework that lets .Net 2.0 programs run under Linux, this could be a big step moving forward.
