E-mail Addresses and RFC Compliance

Please be aware that e-mail will not be delivered, on our system, to e-mail addresses which are not RFC compliant. Your best bet is to stick entirely to letters and numbers for e-mail addresses and pop account userids.

An example of a non-RFC compliant e-mail address, to which e-mail will not arrive, is:

me&mine@mydomain.com

While these addresses may have worked some time in the past, in order for our mail servers to pass the "spam tests", and not be listed as mail servers which accept and deliver spam, such support is no longer possible. Mail servers which are known to deliver spam (mass unsolicited e-mails) may be "blacklisted" so other systems refuse all mail from those servers.
